My appointment at Boston Vision in Brookline was a very positive experience. Everyone was professional as well as personable.Dr J. Arroyo was thorough with his exam and offered clear explanations of what he found. I highly recommend this office and Dr Arroyo.

First, I want to thank Dr. Melki and the amazing staff who made me feel so comfortable with this GREAT decision. I want to tell you all my experience, but it is important that you understand that each person is different, but I assure you that you will like the result. Start with a free consultation in which an expert determines which is the best procedure for you depending on what your need is and how your eye health is, for me I went for LASIK, then without any pressure Schedule your appointment and determine the method payment, I left with a credit of 12 months without interest ... Then comes The BIG DAY, When you arrive at the place where the procedure will be performed, they do one last exam and you meet with the surgeon where you can clarify your doubts and verify that everything is perfect. After preparing your eyes, personally they were the longest minutes, The process 1. Does NOT hurt at all, 2. Maybe seeing the whole process is a bit impressive but if you follow the instructions how to observe the green light and keep your face in position, everything will be fine (pressure in the eyes is normal and perhaps an odor due to the laser) 3. As soon as the procedure is over, YOU WILL NOT SEE WELL YET. It is normal, your eyes are sensitive and need to rest for at least 4 hours, and then they will begin to see much better. 5. Try to wear glasses when you are exposed to light, it is normal to be sensitive 6. Keep the regimen of drops and thus avoid dry eyes 7. Go to check-ups 8. Enjoy the new vision.

Boston Laser is a very efficient and large operation. I had my double PRK done by Dr. Melki using the Alcon EX500 WaveLight system with wavefront optimized planning. There is a consultation visit where they take initial topographs of your corneas and assess your qualification for various options. A resident or fellow will discuss your charts and answer any outstanding questions you may have. On the day of your surgery, they will take another topographic scan to ensure accuracy of the ablation procedure. Both eyes took under 10 minutes total and Dr. Melki didn't waste any time or movement in the process. Followup visits are schedule for day after, week after, and six weeks after to check for proper healing. Overall, I recommend going to Boston Laser for expert, no-nonsense optical procedures.

Dr. Martin listens, really listens and, when appropriate, offers options. I feel confident in the level of care I'm receiving

I had a great experience getting lasik with Dr Brenner. I was nervous the day of surgery but the procedure was over so quickly I didn't really have time to feel that anxious. My procedure took about 5 minutes. Immediately after, I could see but my vision was very blurry, as if I was looking underwater. The blurriness improved slowly throughout the day. I had trouble taking the 4 hour nap but took advil PM which helped me sleep. I can see very clearly for it only being day 2 - would highly recommend this procedure!
