What is EVO ICL?
ICLs are tiny artificial, biocompatible lenses that can be implanted into the eye to serve as a new lens when your natural ones no longer function as they should. Once implanted, you won’t see or feel the lens. It requires no removal of the corneal tissue and can even be removed later on if needed.
ICLs can also come with advanced technology to protect against UV rays and are virtually unnoticeable since they are placed behind the iris. The placement procedure takes only 15 minutes and is performed using a local anesthetic and mild sedation so you’re comfortable. With EVO ICL, you can enjoy long-term vision correction without laser surgery.
Who is Eligible for ICLs?
ICLs can be an excellent option for a variety of eyesight problems including myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism. It’s also an option for people who aren’t good candidates for LASIK or other laser surgeries because of factors like thin or irregular corneas, higher prescriptions, or dry eyes.
The best candidates for ICLs are patients over 21 who are nearsighted (with or without astigmatism). During a consultation with our experienced ophthalmologists, you’ll discuss the right option for you.

Results and Recovery from ICLs
After your ICL procedure, you can expect some symptoms like dryness, itchiness, and discomfort while your eyes recover. You’ll be given special eye drops to help ease your symptoms and help your eyes heal quickly. Your incisions will heal on their own within a few days, and you may notice improvement in your vision as early as one to two days after your procedure. Although you should rest and recover for the first few days after surgery, you can generally return to your normal schedule quickly. You’ll follow up with our team to make sure your eyes are healing as they should and that your new vision is clear.
The best part about the EVO ICL is that it can be removed if needed. All you need to do is meet with our ophthalmologists to discuss your options.
